You have to be logical. You know? If i know that in this hotelroom they have food every day, and im knocking on the door every day to eat , and they open the door, let me see the party, let me see them throwing salami all over. I mean just like throwing food around, but they’re telling me there’s no food. You know what im sayin every day im standing outside trying to sing my way in. You know what im sayin we are hungry, please let us in. We are hungry please let us in. After about a week that song is gonna change to: we are hungry, we need some food. After2,3 weeks its like i mean: give me the food, or im breaking down the door. After a year you’re just like: im picking the lock, coming through the door blasting. You know what im sayin. Its like, you hungry, you reached your level. We asked 10 years ago. We was asking with te Panthers. We was asking with them.the Civil rights movement. We was asking! Those people that asked are dead and in jail. So now what do you think we’re gonna do? ASK?!

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.
